The DMC is coming in full force this year. If you don't know, the DMC is a worldwide DJ competition. DJs from all over the world compete from maybe 15 countries (it changes every year). Back here in America, you can check out, or compete in the DMC in 7 different cities. The battle in San Antonio is already done. For the results of that and the other cities, click through. We are all aware of the tragic earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan a few days ago. DJ Shut-T and DJ Lazor, of NYCelectro.com, are both from Japan and so are many of our friends both here and abroad are also Japanese. If you can, take some time and donate something to help out those poor souls that were effected by this terrible disaster in Japan. The Japan Society, here in NY, has set up a tax-deductible donation page on their website. Please click through to DONATE HERE: View more videos, pitures and links about this tragedy after the jump.
DJ Q-bert, Shiftee, and Rafik, all DMC champs, teamed up at Qbert's place in San Francisco to put on a promo set for Native Instrument's Tractor Pro 2, which will be available worldwide on April 1st. They were using all the inputs on the new 10-input/output audio interface. They were using just one Tractor 2 program also (but all 4 tables are plugged to the 1 interface. Not too shabby. The video is great, and you will need a good breakfast to scratch like these guys. Check it out:

Today at 2pm, at the Winter Music Conference (WMC), the DJ Spin off gets kicked off. There is a Beat Matching competition that lasts for 5 minutes and a Scratching competition that is 3 minutes. For the last 2 years DJ Peter Parker won the beat matching section. This year, he has to be a favorite. NYCelectro.com's friend DJ Sancon will be competing this year, and he is extremely good, so we will be rooting for him. Check the video of Peter Parker's 2010 winning set after the jump.
